Super Visa
You may be eligible for a super visa if you are a foreign national and a parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
A super visa allows you to stay in Canada for up to 2 years at a time to visit your children/grandchildren. To obtain a super visa, you must show that your children/grandchildren in Canada have sufficient financial means to support themselves and you.
There may also be country-specific requirements depending on where you submit your application.
For a super visa, you must apply from outside of Canada.
The super visa is a multiple entry long term visa and acts as an excellent alternative for the lengthy and often difficult process of being sponsored as a parent or grandparent for permanent residency in Canada.
